About the role
The UK & Ireland commercial team is a compact and dynamic group, responsible for two home markets within its geographical scope. With a high level of customer contact, the team operates in a fast-paced commercial environment. This context is reflected in three key ways:
- Role Flexibility: While key accountabilities are role-focused, the role also includes support tasks to ensure continuous customer coverage.
- Adaptability: Accountabilities will adjust to changes in the commercial environment.
- Presence: Team members are expected to be in the office or with customers during normal working hours, with occasional activities outside these hours.
The Constant Climate Executive plays a crucial role in providing product expertise and support to Freight Forwarders and Pharmaceutical shippers. This role ensures the successful planning and execution of high-value cold chain precision time and temperature shipments across the IAG Constant Climate network. Internally, the role involves:
- Supporting Regional Sales: Delivering robust and improving contributions from a portfolio of key regional accounts.
- Synergy Development: Collaborating closely with the Constant Climate Specialist Sales Manager and the regional sales force team to develop synergy opportunities.
- Coordination: Acting as a coordination point between customers and IAG operations for key shipments and projects.
What you’ll do
- Achieve Constant Climate Sales Tonnage, QNNR, and Yield Targets in line with the approved budget plan.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders about expected Climate shipments.
- Monitor key flows and shipments.
- Liaise with the Climate Reservation Team to ensure bookings meet compliance standards.
- Coordinate with Revenue Management to protect space for upcoming ad hoc bookings.
- Complete weekly reporting on key performance metrics.
- Pursue business development opportunities and engage with specified customers to grow Climate contribution.
- Support the implementation of individual customer regional commercial strategies to achieve revenue and yield goals at minimum cost.
- Participate in Regional Constant Climate Business Forums & Seminars.
- Coordinate the production of CAPAs for UKI originating shipments.
- Create and update tariffs and preferential prices using COPS, and communicate with customers.
- Manage the Climate customer database.
- Produce regular marketing communications to UKI customers, including new routes and services.
- Host tours of LHR and DUB Climate facilities, including New Premia.
- Provide support for other team tasks during periods of absence or leave to ensure continuous customer coverage.
It’s all about you
- Thorough understanding of cargo business with knowledge of airline and cargo operating procedures.
- Experience in delivering good customer service in a complex environment, covering a wide range of customers and regions.
- Experience of using systems and data in a fast moving commercial and operational context.
- Existing relationships with Freight Forwarders Pharma Verticals and Pharmaceutical shippers a distinct advantage.
