About the role

As Billing Manager reporting to the Head of Billing, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely invoicing processes.

This role will focus on ensuring billing activities run smoothly, supporting system improvements, getting involved in projects, and working closely with other teams to resolve issues.

You will be part of the billing function and help maintain strong processes, controls, and data accuracy across all billing activities.

  • What you’ll do
  • 1. Billing Operations
  • Manage day-to-day billing process ensuring invoices are accurate and issued on time, with a focus on resolving issues and identifying root causes.
  • Monitor revenue reporting and data quality
  • Maintain billing processes and controls to ensure consistency and compliance, with a focus continuous improvement and identifying gaps.
  • Assist the Head of Billing in implementing updates to billing procedures or systems
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders cross functionally to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and fix root causes.
  • 2. Policy and Charges Management
  • Manage the correct application of charge codes and billing policies
  • Coordinate updates to charges (e. g. handling charges, due carrier charges)
  • Ensure billing changes are communicated and reflected in systems
  • 3. Reporting and Analysis
  • Produce regular billing reports for analysis of billing data
  • Identify trends or issues
  • Provide monthly reviews and reporting for stakeholders
  • Reconciliation and checking of invoices, including those from partner airlines
  • 4. Claims & Disputes Management
  • Co-ordinate the approval process for Claims
  • Resolution of disputes in a timely manner
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders and service partners to improve claim handling processes
  • 5. Systems and Process Improvement
  • Support the management of billing systems and tools
  • Identify opportunities to improve or automate processes
  • Coordinate testing and implementing system enhancements
  • 6. Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively within the billing team and with wider departments
  • Provide support to colleagues and share knowledge
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • 7. Customer Support
  • Provide clear and timely responses to billing queries
  • Support delivery of a positive customer experience
  • 8. Compliance and Controls
  • Ensure billing activities follow company policies and financial controls
  • Support audit activities when required
  • Maintain awareness of relevant industry standards (e. g. IATA guidelines)

  • Experience in billing, finance, or revenue accounting with a good understanding of invoicing and accounts receivable processes
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
