We are iACS, a dynamic, family-run business and a globally recognised leader in providing cutting-edge HVAC control systems and AHU solutions. Renowned for our forward-thinking strategy and technological advancements, we support diverse industries in optimising their building environments to be smarter and more efficient.

About the opportunity

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be the face of our technical excellence on the ground. You will play a vital role in the final stages of AHU control system deployment, ensuring everything operates flawlessly before handover. This is an incredible opportunity in your career journey to work with one of the most innovative controls companies in the world, directly impacting the performance and efficiency of critical building infrastructure using our state-of-the-art iX controls platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive on-site commissioning, testing, and operational validation of AHU control systems.
  • Execute pre-commissioning checks, rigorously verifying mains power, voltages, and the correct physical installation of field components.
  • Configure control strategies and parameters directly on local HMIs, ensuring PLC controllers are running the latest software versions.
  • Test and validate all analogue and digital I/O signals, efficiently troubleshooting operational errors and correcting cabling terminations on site.
  • Collaborate with BMS contractors to integrate AHU controls with third-party Building Management Systems via Modbus/BACnet.
  • Deliver hands-on basic training for end-users on iACS control panels and complete detailed commissioning and site visit reports.

What we are looking for

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Extensive AHU controls knowledge and hands-on commissioning experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Valid CSCS card (essential for site access).
  • Authorisation to work in the UK.
  • Familiarity with cloud connectivity solutions and modern remote technical support.
  • Previous experience working with Modbus/BACnet serial/IP configuration.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly within a team and explain technical details clearly to clients and site managers.

What iACS offers

  • Working hours and location: Full-time, permanent site-based role. Candidates should be based in the London area, with the flexibility to travel extensively to sites across the UK.
  • Holiday entitlement: Starting holiday of 25 days (increasing with service).
  • Pension and other benefits: Comprehensive health plan for all employees, standard workplace pension, and a pub afternoon at the end of every month to celebrate our team's hard work.
  • Training and career development: Continuous hands-on training on our advanced platforms and clear progression opportunities within a rapidly growing, family-run business.
  • Equipment: Company vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone provided.
