Vehicle Technician (Modern Cars & LCVs)
Looking for something different from servicing and MOT work? At IAA Mechanical Solutions, we specialise in diagnosing faults and replacing major components on modern cars and light commercial vehicles. We're a friendly, supportive team with a genuine family-business feel, working with some of the UK's largest fleet and insurance companies. Most of the vehicles we repair are under seven years old, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of modern makes and models without the repetitive routine servicing found in many workshops.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm – No weekends
- Competitive salary of £37,000–£41,000, depending on experience
- 31 days' holiday, including Bank Holidays

Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on modern cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Road testing vehicles and completing final quality checks before sign-off.
- Working closely with the Workshop Manager and Sales Team to provide technical information and accurate fault diagnosis.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Experience working on modern cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude and pride in producing quality work.
- F-Gas qualification.
- Level 3 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle qualification.
