We are looking for a dynamic Regional Vehicle Sales Operations Manager to lead Vehicle Sales Yard sites at our Gloucester and Bristol Yards. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive performance, ensure compliance, improve operational standards, and support a thriving team culture across your region.
About the Role
As Regional Vehicle Sales Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering all operational objectives across both sites. You’ll ensure consistency, efficiency, and high standards of performance across your region by leading your teams, enhancing processes, and creating a safe, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure sites are fully resourced to meet volume, quality, and SLA targets.
- Improve site layout, vehicle flow, and housekeeping standards.
- Champion best practice and operational SOP consistency across all locations.
- Provide outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Attend cross-functional meetings and cascade communications effectively.
- Ensure adequate supplies and resources are available in line with delegated authority.
- Provide regular updates to Senior Leadership and attend sites weekly for audits and support.
- People Leadership
- Lead by example and support teams hands-on when needed.
- Set clear objectives for Yard Operations Team Leaders and drive continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, training, development, and retention across your region.
- Collaborate with Transport, Auction Sales, Finance, IT, HSEQ, Marketing and other departments.
- Deliver People Plans focused on performance, succession, and development.
- Support investigations and disciplinaries when required.
- Compliance & Safety
- Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all policies.
- Oversee incident and accident reporting with the HSEQ team and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain quality and environmental standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001 & OHSAS 18001).
- Conduct safety and environmental audits and liaise with regulatory bodies.
- Ensure adequate resources exist for full standards adoption.

Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Full understanding of yard/site-level operations
- Excellent stakeholder communication and issue resolution
- Confident training and mentoring others
- Good understanding of H&S regulations
- IT literate
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- GCSEs in Maths & English
- Team Leading Level 2+ (Desirable)
