Working Hours: Flexible shift patterns including Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends. Delmonte Garage operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Overtime and call‑outs are available.

About the Company: Delmonte Garage is a family‑run vehicle recovery business established in 1954, based in Norwich. Operating 24 hours a day, the company works closely with local businesses and emergency services, providing both Light and Heavy Vehicle Recovery across the Norfolk area.
The Roles: Delmonte Garage is recruiting for the following positions:
- Heavy Recovery / Underlift Drivers (Class 1)
- Recovery & Roadside Drivers (Class 2)
- Roadside Breakdown Technicians
Applications are welcomed from experienced recovery professionals as well as individuals from other industries. Full training is provided, and applicants may apply for individual roles.
The Role:
- Attending breakdowns and recovering vehicles across Norfolk
- Class 1 drivers recovering trucks and buses using underlift or unit and trailer
- Class 2 drivers transporting cars and vans
- Working alongside emergency services at road traffic incidents
- Handling each job independently and professionally
- Completing paperwork accurately
- Maintaining high customer service standards
What We’re Looking For:
Key Skills & Personal Attributes:- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to work independently and think on your feet
- Calm under pressure and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional, customer‑focused attitude
- Team player who can also work solo
- Minimum HGV C1+E licence held
- HGV C or C+E licences would be considered an advantage
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
- Must pass a CRB/security vetting check
- Must live in Norwich or nearby areas including Wroxham, Coltishall, Costessey, Taverham, Drayton, Sprowston, Rackheath, Brundall, Poringland, Loddon, Long Stratton, Mulbarton, Spixworth, Horsford, or Blofield Heath
