We’re looking for an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join our growing Tax team in Borehamwood. The role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to work with a broad range of clients. You’ll also respond to client queries, providing full confidentiality, transparency and excellent service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and advise managers on clients' residency and non‑domiciliary status, including reference to the remittance basis charge
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships and trusts
- Prepare forms such as P11D’s, PSA and ATED’s, and elections where required
- Review tax notices and prepare correspondence to clients
- Complete client work within agreed budgets and timeframes, keeping the Tax Manager updated
- Communicate queries to clients effectively and clearly
- Keep up to date with developments in taxation
- Undertake technical research for clients and consultants
- Support ad hoc tasks as required by the Manager
About You
You’ll have relevant experience in a similar role and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify inaccuracies and resolve them efficiently. Accuracy, communication and time management are key.
Requirements
- ATT qualification (highly desirable)
- Previous professional practice experience in taxation
- Four or more tax seasons’ experience advantageous
- Working knowledge of the SRT, tax treatment of non‑doms and the remittance basis
- Proficient with taxation software and Microsoft Excel
- Able to self‑manage and work independently
