Our client, a specialist business in Digital, is recruiting for an experienced Technical Lead / Lead Web Developer to oversee and manage their team of remote developers while growing their interesting portfolio of professional related web properties.
As Technical Lead, you will be required to:
- Play an integral role within the business management team.
- Lead weekly scrums and oversee deployments.
- Mentor their team of remote engineers, while also being hands-on with coding.
- Ensure the team keeps focus on the sprint goals (e.g., by acting as a buffer between external distractions and the team) to deliver the work committed to in the sprints.
- Work with Product Owners and other key stakeholders to refine and prioritise project backlogs.
- Attend regular stand-ups and stakeholder meetings.
- Improve value delivery by removing roadblocks and impediments that prevent progress.
- Facilitate cross-training of team members to improve domain and skill knowledge.
- Continually look for ways to support the team perform at their highest level.
You should have:
- A well-rounded technical background and an excellent knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, Ajax, PHP, MySQL, WordPress.
- A passion for coaching teams and helping them improve the ways they work.
- An excellent understanding of the underlying principles of Agile and how to effectively apply Scrum in complex, real-world situations.

- Willingness to learn and apply new technologies as required.
- Willingness to comply with and help develop coding standards and best practices.
- Willingness to help define quality, DevOps, security and performance validation processes for the team.
