This is a key position within our business; we are looking for the right individual to help continue to grow our technology architecture capabilities and offering across our i3Works business.

We are looking for a Technical Solution Architect with experience in delivering public and private cloud solutions, utilising best practices to design and deliver a high quality and secure solution.
Role: i3Works Architects are firstly great consultants, leading engagements with our clients to ensure we deliver their requirements to the highest standards. As a Solution Architect specialising in systems and application deployments, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing architecture solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative, technology-driven solutions that align with business objectives. Your deep expertise in infrastructure, applications and system security will be essential throughout the entire solution lifecycle—from initial design through to successful deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of complex IT solutions on time, within budget, and aligned to client needs.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate business needs into scalable and sustainable architectures.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Create and review high-quality technical designs and architecture documentation.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
- Provide architectural governance and oversight throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Recommend technologies and best practices to enhance solution performance and resilience.
Must have or be eligible for and willing to undergo UK Government security vetting (at least to Security Clearance level). Willingness to travel to client sites. Strong knowledge of current technologies used to deliver end-to-end solutions. Experience designing and leading the delivery of large and small systems. Proven experience designing complex systems in secure or regulated environments. Broad understanding of application architectures and supporting cloud infrastructures. Experience of describing a technical subject to a non-technical audience. Extensive experience working with multiple stakeholders including end users and CxO level. Experience working in the Defence, Nuclear or the Public Sector industries. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Role Location: Our consultants are expected to work in a hybrid environment, in accordance with our clients. We require our people to be within an easily commutable distance of our Bristol office and to be able to co-locate at our client locations, which are typically 50 miles of Bristol or along the M4 corridor. New clients are always coming on board, and we require our consultants to be able to work flexibly and wherever this work requires.
