We are currently supporting a London Market insurer in the search for an experienced Business Analyst to join on an initial 6-month contract engagement, operating outside IR35. This is a hands-on BA role suited to someone who is comfortable owning workstreams independently, engaging directly with senior stakeholders, and translating business requirements into detailed deliverables for developers and third-party vendors. The successful candidate is likely to work across two projects concurrently from a wider portfolio of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with senior business stakeholders
- Produce detailed as-is and to-be process documentation
- Identify and recommend system-based solutions
- Write detailed user stories and functional requirements
- Work closely with developers and vendors throughout delivery
- Perform hands-on testing, including writing and executing test plans
- Support Agile delivery across the full SDLC lifecycle
Required Experience
- Strong London Market insurance experience is essential
- Knowledge of Syndicate and Service Company operating models
- Experience with PAS / Workbench platforms and the Sub-Quote-Bind journey
- Strong process mapping and business analysis capability
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and writing detailed user stories
- Experience working closely with developers to ensure successful delivery
- Ability to independently manage workstreams and stakeholder engagement
- Hands-on testing experience, including creation of test plans
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to e-trade platforms
- Experience with Exposure Management data/projects
- Understanding of reporting and MI tooling, particularly Power BI
- Baseline data literacy and understanding of how reporting solutions are structured
- Knowledge of underwriting or renewal journeys
- Finance or taxation exposure within insurance systems
