An established and globally recognised Life Insurer is seeking an experienced Testing / QA Leader to join their Technology function at AVP level. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering enterprise-wide testing strategy across a major back-office transformation programme, alongside BAU technology change. You will lead the Testing Services capability and act as the face of testing across the organisation, providing assurance to senior leadership that quality, governance and control standards are upheld.

You will:

  • Define and own the enterprise testing strategy
  • Lead and develop a Testing Services team (line & matrix management)
  • Oversee all phases of testing (unit, integration, UAT, regression, automation, non-functional)
  • Drive automation adoption and modern QA best practice
  • Provide governance, reporting and executive-level assurance
  • Partner with global stakeholders across Technology and the Business
  • Support a complex, multi-territory transformation programme

This is both strategic and hands‐on leadership — ideal for someone who can operate at executive level while still understanding the technical detail.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years in Testing / QA, including leadership within large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and modern delivery models (Agile / hybrid)
  • Experience across automation frameworks, defect management, and test data strategy
  • Proven ability to manage global and matrix teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills — comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience within Life Insurance / (Re)Insurance highly desirable
