This role supports the London Office as part of a team building a next-gen data warehouse, powerful integrations, and insightful Power BI solutions to support Underwriting, Claims, and Operations, with a global reach.

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, proactive in communication, an independent problem-solver, and a team player with a deep understanding of insurance data (especially within the syndicate and company markets).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with the Lead Data Engineer and Business Analysts to deliver data solutions that meet evolving business needs.
  • Design and develop a data warehouse using star schema modelling.
  • Build seamless internal and external integrations.
  • Develop impactful Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Provide ongoing data support and drive reconciliation processes.
  • Conduct thorough unit testing and produce clear documentation.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL Server and T-SQL experience.
  • Deep understanding of data warehouse modelling.
  • Experience with Azure Fabric, Pipelines, DevOps, and Git.
  • Solid grasp of application data modelling and data integration.

Industry Knowledge

  • Strong background in the insurance domain – particularly London Market business.
  • Comfortable working with syndicate and company market data.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong documentation and organisational capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes.
