We are seeking a Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join a global IAM function. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building, configuring, and owning IAM solutions end to end. While there is some exposure to architecture and strategic design, this role is primarily delivery-focused. You will be working day-to-day with senior IAM leadership in the US and supporting a global environment.
This is not an analyst role and not a people-management role — we are looking for someone who has personally done the work, not just designed it or delegated it.
Role Breakdown- 80% Hands-on Engineering
- 20% Architecture / Strategic Input
You will be expected to actively configure, implement, and manage IAM technologies yourself.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, configure, and support IAM solutions across a global enterprise environment
- Hands-on engineering across the full IAM lifecycle (not just a single tool or platform)
- Work closely with global stakeholders, particularly US-based IAM leadership
- Implement and manage cloud-based IAM components, including group and access configuration
- Support and integrate SSO solutions across enterprise applications
- Work with Privileged Access Management platforms in a hands-on capacity
- Contribute to IAM governance practices and ensure IAM tools fit cohesively within the wider security ecosystem
- Use scripting to automate and manage IAM tasks where appropriate
- 8–10+ years in Identity & Access Management roles
- Broad, end-to-end IAM experience — not a specialist in only one IAM product
- Strong understanding of IAM governance and how IAM technologies integrate across an enterprise
- Hands-On Technical Skills (Essential)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) — strong, practical experience
- Cloud-based IAM configuration (groups, access policies, identity lifecycle)
- Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations
- Experience with tools such as Entra ID, Okta, or similar
- CyberArk (Privileged Access Management) — hands-on administration and configuration
- Active Directory (cloud-focused usage rather than on-prem server builds)
- PowerShell scripting (essential)
- Python experience is beneficial but not required
We are specifically looking for candidates who have personally configured, managed, and supported these technologies — not those who have only overseen teams or vendors doing the work.
What We’re Looking For- A true “hands-on keyboard” engineer
- Someone who has built and configured IAM solutions themselves
- Comfortable working at senior level while remaining deeply technical
- Able to operate independently in a global, distributed environment
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders across regions
- Global IAM remit with real ownership
- High-impact, senior-level engineering work
- Exposure to both technical delivery and architectural thinking
- Work closely with experienced IAM leadership in a mature environment
