We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Business Architect to help shape and drive our Business Data Architecture practice. This is a key role at the intersection of Business, Data, and IT — ensuring organisational design, transformation, and improvement initiatives align with our data strategy vision and deliver measurable value in both the short and long term.
The Opportunity
- Provide direction, guidance, and definition of business architecture to support data and business strategies.
- Drive the development and maturity of our Business Data Architecture practice.
- Apply business modelling techniques to define organisational capabilities and create reusable corporate knowledge assets.
- Act as a subject matter expert in business architecture frameworks, tooling, and methodology development.
- Review and evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities involving new products, technologies, and business models.
- Support initiatives from ideation through to development and prototyping.
- Identify and champion opportunities for data innovation across business teams.
- Analyse business challenges and determine optimal solutions, including process improvement, systems enhancement, training, or procurement.
- Support the design and build of integration solutions and business applications aligned to target needs.
- Act as a data-focused liaison between Business, IT, and Data teams.
- Promote strong cross-functional collaboration across Data, IT, Change, and Business teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in business architecture, business design, and modelling techniques, tools, and standards.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles.
- Proven analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrable experience delivering business change across the full lifecycle.
- Experience driving operational efficiencies and balancing requirements, cost, and benefit.
- Ability to manage business and supplier relationships at all levels, from end users to senior executives.
- Experience within Insurance / London Market.
- ITIL knowledge.
- TOGAF certification (or equivalent).
