We are seeking a talented individual to join our Property and Casualty Broking team.

This role will be based in the London office.

This is a role that has a requirement of working in the office.

The role: Senior Property and Casualty Broker/P&C Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Senior P&C Broker possibly looking to eventually step up into a Team Leader role

This role is perfect for someone with an extensive background within Property & Casualty insurance and the London Market, which could include Broking or Underwriting.

As a Team Leader you will grow a team, build your own high profile client portfolio and oversee daily operations, including renewals, mid-term adjustments, negotiations with insurers, and addressing client inquiries as well as ensuring the ongoing management and training of the team.

We will rely on you to:

  • To lead on the implementation of placement strategy for casualty insurance renewals in collaboration with colleagues
  • Understand the business needs, insurance requirements and risk management strategy of our clients and convey to insurers
  • Undertake appropriate research and analysis to select markets and design an insurance programme to meet the client\’s requirements for global and complex placements
  • Provide recommendations and advice on placement strategy, programme structure and market conditions including presentations to clients where appropriate
  • Provide regular updates to the Client Service teams on progress of insurer negotiations
  • Fully document all quotations received and advise the Client Servicing team of all conditions
  • Act as a referral point for the resolution of insurer queries and the provision of market conditions and latest trends in the industry
  • Host client and insurer meetings in partnership with the client service team
  • Contribute to rolling risk management strategy with clients and insurers
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed and can be demonstrated at all times
  • Build strong relationships with insurers and seek feedback

What you need to have:

  • Extensive experience within a similar role within the Casualty Market
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence to advise and negotiate.
  • The ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
