We're partnering with a top global insurer to recruit a Solution Architect into their Specialty - Global Markets team in Manchester. This is a great opportunity to join a global organisation and play a key role in designing and delivering modern, scalable technology solutions across a range of transformation and innovation initiatives.
The Opportunity
- You'll work closely with both business and technical teams to shape architecture, guide delivery, and ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise standards. The role offers a strong mix of hands-on design, stakeholder engagement, and involvement in modernisation programmes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing end-to-end solutions across cloud and enterprise systems
- Supporting application transformation and modernisation initiatives
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define scalable and reusable architectures
- Contributing to architecture governance, standards, and best practices
- Supporting Agile and DevSecOps delivery approaches
- Driving integration strategies across APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems
- Reviewing designs, supporting development teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks
What They're Looking For
- Experience as a Solution / Technical / Application Architect
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or similar)
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and integration architectures
- Experience working across enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, portals, policy systems)
- Knowledge of Agile / DevOps environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) is beneficial
- Insurance or financial services experience is a plus (not essential)
