Claims Specialist - Property + Construction in City of London

Job Title: Claims Specialist, Global Property, Construction & Property Binders

Permanent position in London

Salary: £60,000 – £67,000 + Bonus + benefits

Ideal candidates:

Minimum of 3-4 years\’ experience handling Lloyd\’s global property claims.

Role Contribution:

As a Claims Specialist, you will handle complex claims, mentor junior team members, and build relationships with key clients and stakeholders to strengthen my clients market role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adjust property and construction claims worldwide
• Manage third-party service providers and external legal advisors
• Develop strong working relationships with clients and brokers
• Handle Company Market and Lloyd\’s Syndicate claims
• Support junior colleagues with complex cases
• Evaluate coverage and reserve analysis
• Coordinate with underwriters, Risk Management, Actuarial teams, and Ceded Reinsurance team
• Record and manage claims files

Qualifications:

• Understanding of the London Market in relevant classes of business
• Experience in insurance claims, preferably in property/construction
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Decision-making ability focused on results
• Team player mentality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a syndicate, company, or broker within claims
• Knowledge of ECF2 and London market systems like Docosoft
• Degree or diploma (CII or equivalent)
• Interest in property and construction
