We are looking for a Technical Lead / Solution Engineer to join a high-impact Salesforce transformation programme. You will play a key role in delivering and evolving a global Salesforce ecosystem across multiple lines of business. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining solution architecture, technical delivery, and business engagement. You will have the autonomy to lead initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and step up when senior leadership is unavailable.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead solution design and technical delivery across Salesforce and integrated platforms
- Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, Developers, and Testers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
- Translate business requirements and customer journeys into technical designs
- Challenge and influence architectural decisions to optimise outcomes
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring developers and reviewing code where needed
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, cloud, event-driven architecture)
- Support Agile delivery across global teams and remove technical blockers
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, data privacy, and governance standards
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong Salesforce (Sales Cloud) experience
- Proven background as a Technical Lead / Solution Architect / Solution Engineer
- Experience with: AWS (Glue, AppFlow), Java development, API integrations (REST/SOAP), CI/CD pipelines & cloud deployment (AWS/Azure)
- Experience working across business requirements / user journeys (BA background beneficial)
- Strong understanding of data models, MDM, and ETL processes
- Experience in Agile environments
Leadership & Stakeholder Skills
- Experience managing or mentoring developers and QA teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
- Comfortable working with architecture review boards and senior leadership
- Ability to operate independently with confidence and gravitas
Desirable
- Experience in insurance
- Understanding of financial regulations (data privacy, compliance, etc.)
- Consultancy background working with insurers
- Salesforce ecosystem knowledge including: Flows, Apex, LWC, Data management & integrations, Security & sharing models
