Buyer – Packaging Telford Salary – Competitive Full Time – Permanent i2r manufactures a comprehensive range of aluminium foil wrinklewall and smoothwall containers used throughout the food industry. As a global leader in our field, we supply superior, lightweight, robust aluminium foil packaging for food for many leading retail brands as well as foil containers for wholesaler and distributor markets worldwide. The Role The buyer will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing for the company under the guidance of the purchasing manager. It will be the buyer\’s responsibility to purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Support the procurement of production & non-production materials and services. Demand analysis, purchase order generation and expedition. Track inventory, maintaining target stock levels in line with company objectives and maintain accurate data. Supplier liaison and management, maintaining clear and timely lines of communication. Support tender processes by gathering data, collating quotations, and arranging sample trials were applicable. Contract negotiation. New supplier assessment & set up.
