Finance Assistant £23,000-£27,000 DOE Cheltenham Are you looking for a career in finance with a rapidly growing, award-winning company? We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our fast-paced team. This role will immerse you in the day-to-day financial operations, including managing the purchase ledger, handling international payments, and supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will make a direct impact on the company’s success. What the role involves: * Set up and maintenance of supplier accounts. * Processing purchase ledger invoices, including foreign currency invoices. * Processing purchase ledger payment runs, including payments of foreign currency invoices. * Processing of bank payments and posting the payments to the ledger. * Managing all company credit card expenditure. * Supporting the finance team with daily tasks and operations. * Assisting in the improvement of the company’s financial controls and procedures. * Ad-hoc tasks to support the finance department as required. What you will bring: * Accuracy and a keen eye for detail. * A higher education qualification in mathematics or finance would be highly advantageous! * Excellent numeracy and organisational skills. * Strong IT skills with advanced Excel proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office packages. * Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy. * Proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills. * Good communication skills * Team player with a positive and professional "can-do" attitude. * Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality. * Must be able to work their Cheltenham office.
