Our client, a well-established and growing interiors business, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations and drive business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to oversee strategic and operational functions while maintaining a strong customer-focused approach.
Must have’s
- Strong understanding of financial principles, including P&L management and balance sheet analysis
- Ability to understand margins, profitability and balance sheets
- Commercial Acumen
- Proven experience in a general management or senior operational role
Nice to have’s
- Excellent leadership and team motivation skills
- Industry experience in blinds, soft furnishings, or home interiors (preferred)
- Experience of CRM systems (Carmen ideally) and either Xero or Sage
So what will you be doing?
- Provide full operational leadership across the business, ensuring consistent commercial performance
- Manage customer interactions both in person and digitally, offering expert product advice with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Lead and develop the team by setting clear goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks
- Oversee showroom operations, diary management, scheduling, and workflow coordination
- Handle order processing, purchasing, and supplier relations to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Monitor financial performance including margins, profitability, and overall business metrics
- Report regularly to Directors and liaise with Head Office on business updates and forecasts

- Hours 8am-5pm but will need flexibility especially in the early days
