We are seeking a Site Operations Manager for Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm, based at the Dogger Bank O&M base in South Shields, reporting to the Senior Operations Manager. You will lead safe, efficient day-to-day site operations in support of one of the world’s largest offshore wind developments. This role focuses specifically on the corrective scopes of the SOVs across the phases of Dogger Bank. Strong wind technical knowledge and a leadership style that drives successful delivery are essential. European, offshore, and international travel will be required. As part of your induction, you will spend time offshore to understand our business and innovative technology, enabling you to bring new solutions to our ever-growing operation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe site maintenance operations are carried out, meeting high quality standards, delivered within budget and on schedule, recording and tracking KPIs, reporting progress, deviations and mitigations.

- Establish new operational wind farms for future operational success.
- Lead implementation of response plans according to operator and GE policies; support required stakeholders; be accountable for incident investigations within area of responsibility.
- Lead the operational team(s) located at operational wind farms and service operation vessels.
- Be accountable for execution of all service-related activities with respect to SQDC within area of responsibility.
- Act as point of contact for customer representative on day-to-day matters, create monthly customer report.
- Approve rotation plans for scope delivery and resourcing; manage and mitigate potential deviations to SQDC targets.
- Support recruitment and talent development model, ensuring continual improvement and progression for high-performing technical and non-technical operational roles.
- Facilitate authorization panels; approve technician competence development.
- Provide feedback on offshore team performance, support performance improvement as required.
- Support establishment of training requirements, competency framework and safe system of work governance process.
Travel Expectations
Primarily onshore at Port of Tyne, South Shields. Requires international travel and willingness to work offshore as needed.
Education / Professional Experience
Degree in an engineering discipline or professional education/apprenticeship in a technical discipline with extensive professional experience. Significant experience of offshore wind maintenance operations. Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment with remote teams; strong team player enabling change.
Language(s)
Fluency in English.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
High motivation level; self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems in a structured manner. Established project management skills. Demonstrated experience leading technician teams.
