Job Description Summary – The On Wing Support Technician will provide quick‑turn aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and field services. Primarily based within a small dynamic team in the London Heathrow area, you will offer engine troubleshooting, field repairs, line maintenance, and build positive relationships with customers through outstanding service.
Responsibilities
- Provide quick‑turn aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and field services.
- Engine troubleshooting, field repairs, line maintenance, module removal and installation.
- Perform LRU/EBU removals and installations.
- Build positive customer relationships through outstanding customer awareness and service.
- Take ownership of work tasks and projects, ensuring follow‑through to completion.
- Lead with transparency and humility, and act with a can‑do attitude.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completed a formal engineering apprenticeship or relevant industry experience within a technically complex industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret detailed documented work instructions.
- Team player with a flexible approach and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to travel on short notice to domestic and international locations for maintenance of GE/CFM commercial engines.
- Experience with LEAP, CFM56, GENX, GE90, GP7200, CF6, and CF34 engines.
- Lean and problem‑solving experience.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Desire to learn and grow with advances in technology.
Shift & Working Hours
LHR – Shift Work: Two weeks of days (06:30–14:30) and one week of afternoons (14:30–22:30). Flexible working arrangements are available where possible.
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. If BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, the candidate may not be eligible for the role and offers may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
