Phonics Intervention Tutor

This Manchester-based secondary school are seeking a Phonics Intervention Tutor who is able to inspire and redirect the energies of disaffected students, to join their small, close-knit team as soon as possible.

Phonics Intervention Tutor – The Person:

  • 2:1 or higher with a degree in English or Education
  • Patient and nurturing disposition
  • Must wish to train on a contract basis, before transitioning to a permanent contract with the school
  • Good knowledge of, and experience working with, Read Write, Fresh Start, or another Phonics programme
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Affinity for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
  • Growth mindset and positive ethos
  • Phonics Intervention Tutor – Benefits:

  • Β£550 – 575 per week, term time only
  • Full-time, long-term role at a single provision
  • Sociable hours of 0830 – 1620 Monday to Friday
