Global fund management industry leader based in central London has an urgent requirement for a Senior and Experienced Project Director to lead a large-scale, complex client delivery and migration programme across multiple operational and technology workstreams. This role requires a highly visible hands-on delivery leader who can work closely with SME workstream leads, challenge progress where required, manage cross-workstream dependencies/risks, and above all provide clear leadership across the programme as teams work through complex delivery, migration and operational readiness activities. This role is initially offered on a 6-month contract basis, with a strong probability of extension well beyond this timeframe. Attendance for the role will be on a hybrid basis, with the successful candidate required onsite 2 and sometimes 3 days per week at the company's Head office in Central London. Please note that this is an urgent requirement, and prospective candidates should be ready to commence at 1-2 weeks' notice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the programme across all business and technology workstreams
  • Maintain integrated delivery oversight across operational, technology, migration and onboarding activities
  • Drive execution across all workstreams, ensuring progress, accountability and delivery focus are maintained
  • Work closely with SME workstream leads to coordinate delivery activity, dependencies, risks and escalation management
  • Maintain control across scope, timelines, risks, issues and delivery milestones
  • Drive recovery planning, prioritisation and re-planning activity where required
  • Operate hands-on across the programme to support delivery execution, unblock issues and maintain delivery momentum
  • Ensure RAID management and reporting controls are operating effectively across all workstreams
  • Support workstream leads and delivery teams in maintaining accurate planning, progress tracking and dependency management
  • Oversee migration sequencing, reconciliation, cutover and parallel run activities across the programme
  • Ensure migration activities remain aligned across onboarding, reporting, operations and technology workstreams
  • Drive operational readiness planning and delivery coordination across all impacted business areas
  • Maintain oversight of integrated testing, parallel run and cutover readiness activities
  • Ensure Go Live readiness, transition planning and operational acceptance activities remain aligned across the programme
  • Comfortable operating hands-on across planning, governance, escalation and delivery coordination activities

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading large-scale business and technology transformation programmes within financial services
  • Strong experience delivering complex onboarding, migration or operational transformation programmes
  • Proven experience managing programmes involving: Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Data Migration, Reporting & Regulatory Reporting, Payments & Banking Integrations, Operational Readiness, Third-Party Vendors
  • Strong programme delivery execution experience within programmes already in flight
  • Experience operating within highly complex multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong governance, planning, RAID management and dependency management capability
  • Demonstrable experience managing compressed delivery timelines and high-pressure delivery environments
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate strategically whilst remaining close to day-to-day delivery execution
