A global biotech at the forefront of Cell Therapy is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Medical Operations & Governance to provide leadership across Medical Grants, governance frameworks, and operational excellence within Medical Affairs. This contractor role offers high visibility, senior cross‑functional engagement, and the opportunity to shape best‑practice processes across a rapidly evolving medical organisation.

What You Will Lead

  • Medical Grants
    • Full‑cycle ownership of IMED & Medical Scientific Grants
    • Coordination and governance of the Grant Review Committee (GRC)
    • Maintain inspection‑ready documentation
    • Monitor KPIs, cycle times, and budgets
    • Ensure adherence to internal policies and industry standards
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Finance
    • Support audits, transparency reporting, and SOP refinement
    • Drive process, template, and workflow optimisation
  • Medical Affairs Operations
    • Support medical planning cycles and dashboard reporting
    • Budget monitoring and variance analysis
    • Meeting cadence, pre‑reads, action tracking
    • Systems, tools, and document governance improvements
  • Patient Engagement Operations
    • Provide structured operational support for patient engagement initiatives
    • Maintain alignment with global standards and documentation requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years pharma/biotech experience
  • 5+ years in Medical Grants, Medical Affairs Operations, or Medical Governance
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven project management and operational excellence capabilities
  • Skilled stakeholder collaborator across Medical, Legal, Compliance, Finance
  • Highly organised with strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills
  • Confident in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and AI‑enabled efficiency tools
