Job Purpose
To design, specify, and support the delivery of mechanical systems and equipment for wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related infrastructure. The role ensures designs are safe, sustainable, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable standards, contributing to the efficient treatment and management of wastewater.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems including pumps, valves, pipelines, blowers, and compressors
- Develop P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and energy efficiency assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across project stages
- Ensure compliance with WIMES, BS EN, and CDM regulations
What we're looking for:
- Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (BEng/BSc)
- 3-7+ years' experience in water/wastewater design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, or Revit MEP
- Strong understanding of mechanical installation, materials, and corrosion prevention
- Experience with CFD, FEA, or hydraulic modelling is a plus
