We are seeking a meticulous and detailâoriented Manual Tester to join our software quality assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing procedures to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with development teams to deliver highâquality solutions that meet business requirements and user expectations. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of various testing methodologies, including functional, system, and performance testing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Perform manual testing across multiple platforms including web, mobile (Android and iOS), and desktop applications.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet client needs and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or TFS; collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
- Perform regression testing following software updates or bug fixes to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, scripts, and reports.
- Analyse system logs and debug issues using debugging tools; perform root cause analysis for recurring problems.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions to understand project scope and contribute to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the development lifecycle by implementing best practices in software testing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in manual software testing across various platforms including web, mobile (Android/iOS), and desktop environments.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as functional, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience working within SDLC models such as Waterfall or Agile/Scrum environments; knowledge of release management processes.
- Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira or TFS; experience with defect tracking systems is essential.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting; strong analytical skills complemented by excellent attention to detail.
