I Need Staff Today Limited, a recruitment agency based in Codsall, is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Steel Fabricator / Welder to support an increased workload involving structural and architectural steel fabrication. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator/welder looking for an immediate start on a short-term contract with the possibility of further work.
Duties:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Prepare, measure, cut and grind steel
- Tack and complete MIG/TIG welds
- Check completed work against technical drawings
- Fabricate structural and architectural steel, including staircases and canopies
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy
Requirements:
- Previous experience in structural and architectural steel fabrication
- Confident reading engineering drawings
- Experienced in fabrication and welding
- TIG welding experience is essential
- Coded Welder (Class 2) for structural steel is highly desirable
- Reliable with excellent attention to detail
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Start between 7:00am - 8:00am
- Finish between 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Location: Smethwick, Birmingham (B66)
Availability: Immediate start, Minimum 3-week contract (expected to run until the end of August)
