Overview
Due to the recent award of several major projects and various ongoing framework contracts, our client wishes to strengthen their engineering team with the appointment of an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter.
This Fitter position requires an individual with a demonstrable track record of providing practical, hands-on expertise to a wide range of heavy construction plant, rigs or large construction machinery or equipment.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Plant & Fleet Manager, take total responsibility to work on the company’s expansive fleet of rigs, plant, and equipment.
- Carry out repairs, servicing, and planned, reactive and preventative maintenance, amongst other tasks.
- Carry out servicing, inspection, and repair of a fleet of large piling and drilling rigs and associated plant/machinery to keep them fit for purpose and use at all times.
- Work on pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems; require a good understanding and previous experience in these areas.
- Produce, maintain, and manage servicing records and other paperwork with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Carry out this role successfully with a full UK driving licence.

- Demonstrable hands-on experience with heavy construction plant, rigs or large construction machinery/equipment.
- Experience in servicing, repair, and maintenance of heavy construction plant and machinery.
- Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to produce accurate reports and servicing records.
- Full UK driving licence.
