We are working exclusively with a bold, fast‑growing Gen Z beauty and lifestyle brand to find their next Senior Designer. This is a brand that doesn’t do safe – think loud creative energy, category‑disrupting packaging, and products that genuinely stop people in their tracks. If you want to design work that gets noticed and be part of something that’s very much on the rise, read on.
About the Brand
Our client has built a loyal following by making beauty that’s playful, fearless and unapologetically fun. With a diverse portfolio of much‑loved ranges and best‑in‑class licences, they are scaling fast and need a talented Designer / Senior Designer to help lead their creative output. This is a real opportunity to have creative influence at a brand that rewards bold thinking.
The Role
You will be the creative force behind packaging and on‑pack graphics, working across new launches and existing ranges to create work that’s visually arresting, commercially smart and totally on‑brand. Product and packaging design here is fast, varied and genuinely exciting. You will be involved from the very start — the first stage is always concepting, which means you get to shape the direction of a product before it is anywhere near production. From there you will carry ideas through to final artwork, working closely with Product Development and Production to make sure nothing gets lost between the concept and the shelf. It is a role that asks you to think like a creative and a commercial designer at the same time — and to love both.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading concept development from the very first stage — exploring visual territories, building creative routes and presenting ideas with confidence before a single brief is locked.
- Designing bold, category‑disrupting packaging and on‑pack graphics that excite retailers and resonate with a Gen Z audience.
- Partnering with Product Development and Production throughout, translating great concepts into beautifully executed final artwork.
- Leading trend research across beauty, lifestyle and culture, bringing fresh references and unexpected inspiration to the team.
- Using AI design tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, and beyond) to accelerate ideation, explore directions faster and push creative boundaries.
- Balancing fearless creativity with commercial awareness, meeting brand, licensor and retailer briefs without diluting the vision.
- Producing and amending final artwork to a high standard, hitting every deadline and technical spec with precision.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial design experience in consumer products, packaging, beauty or gifting.
- A portfolio that proves you can make things that look great and sell well — and that shows strong concepting as well as finished work.
- Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted design tools and genuine enthusiasm for where they’re taking the industry.
- The confidence to take an open brief and run with it, presenting clear, considered creative routes with conviction.
- A sharp eye for colour, layout, typography and cultural relevance — you know what’s going to land before it does.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and fluency across the design tools shaping the next era of creative work.
- Comfort in a fast‑moving, feedback‑rich environment where ideas are debated and the best work wins.
- Experience with licensed brands is a bonus but not a dealbreaker.
- A solid read on the UK retail landscape and what it takes to stand out in a competitive market.
