We are working with a creative, design-led consumer brand who are looking for a Copy & Content Writer to join their product & marketing team. This is a hands-on varied role encompassing content creation across product packaging, writing straplines, quiz questions, and online and offline marketing campaigns. You will work closely with the product development team across new product innovation, playing the games to test content, and ensuring the right tone of voice for the audience.
This is an ideal role for someone who has an engaging writing style and enjoys writing fun, punchy copy. A love of retail and consumer product is key for this role as you will see the content you have created both live online, and for sale on the shelves of leading retailers globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, engaging pack copy, game instructions, and quiz content, working to design briefs to create bespoke copy for new products
- Collaborate with the product development team to brainstorm and create relevant content for new games and products
- Ensure all content aligns with brand tone and quality standards
- Manage and liaise with external proofreaders to ensure timely, high-quality output
- Research and fact-check information for quizzes and games to ensure accuracy and suitability for target audiences
- Proofread content across all media to ensure grammar, clarity, and consistency
- Develop content for marketing campaigns including web, email, social media, blogs, and newsletters
- Coordinate copy and content requests across internal teams
- Maintain the content calendar and ensure all critical path dates are met for marketing, product, and customer-facing materials
- Ad hoc projects as required across sales presentations, blog content, and web copy
Requirements
- Experience creating content for a creative consumer brand
- Ability to produce engaging, clear copy for a variety of audiences and formats
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong command of English grammar and spelling
- Experience writing and proofreading copy for products, marketing material, or similar
- Knowledge of SEO principles for web content
- A collaborative approach, adept at building relationships across departments
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and proactive in coordinating workflow
- Familiarity with content management systems and basic digital publishing tools
