The Role
As Senior Designer, you will play a key role in driving the creative direction of beauty and gifting ranges, delivering trend-led packaging and on-pack graphics that excite retailers and captivate customers globally. You will work closely with Product Development and Production from early concept through to launch, shaping ideas, exploring creative routes and delivering standout design solutions that balance innovation with commercial success. This is a hands-on, creative role for a designer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys turning open briefs into bold, shelf‑ready products.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating standout beauty and gifting on-pack graphics and packaging that capture attention and elevate the brand
- Leading creative development from concept to final artwork, shaping product stories and visual direction
- Collaborating closely with Product Development and Production to bring ideas to life efficiently and commercially
- Driving trend-led design, researching beauty, gifting and wider consumer trends to keep ranges fresh and relevant
- Developing both new launches and existing ranges, ensuring consistency, innovation and strong visual storytelling
- Translating open briefs into clear creative concepts and design routes with confidence
- Ensuring artwork is delivered to a high technical standard, meeting critical paths and production requirements
- Balancing creativity with commercial awareness, understanding retail requirements, brand positioning and customer appeal
- Bringing energy, ideas and inspiration into the creative team and wider business
What They’re Looking For
- Around 5 years’ commercial design experience, ideally within beauty, gifting, packaging or consumer products
- A strong portfolio showcasing trend-driven packaging and graphic design work
- A designer who is ideas-led, visually strong and commercially aware
- Confidence working from open briefs and taking creative ownership
- A natural curiosity for beauty, gifting and retail trends
- Strong understanding of colour, layout, typography and storytelling
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience working with licensed and non-licensed products (beneficial but not essential)
- Highly organised and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
- Understanding of the UK retail landscape and what makes products stand out on shelf
