Our client is a leading London-based creative brand that supplies its trend-led ranges to leading retailers globally. They are looking for a new Account Manager to join their growing sales team to look after the sales of their leading independent brands that this company represents.

You will look after a selection of their leading retail customers, from key accounts and independent stores to online retailers. You must be positive, energetic and enjoy forming strong relationships with your customers. You must also be happy being client facing; working at trade events and approaching customers if required.

Duties and responsibilities as Key Account Manager will include:

  • Providing an excellent service to your portfolio of customers; being present, efficient, knowledgeable and reliable.
  • Maximising the revenue of your customers by working with the Buyers on range selection.
  • Advising on visual merchandising to increase sales and sell-through rates.
  • Visiting the larger customers from your account base to discuss new and existing ranges with them.
  • Negotiation of all account pricing, terms and conditions to attain the company target margin.
  • Working with the Director on project-based marketing/sales campaigns and new initiatives.
  • Approaching new customers if required.
  • Attendance at all relevant company meetings and company trade shows.

Experience and requirements for this Key Account Manager role:

  • Experience of working directly with retail buyers at Account Manager level.
  • 3+ years of experience in wholesale sales.
  • A thorough understanding of the wholesale/retail relationship.
  • An appreciation of good design.
  • Excellent telephone manner, good vocabulary and literacy skills.
  • Good face-to-face skills and strong organisation skills.
  • Sociable with a good sense of humour and will have examples of where you have gone the extra mile for the greater good of their company!
