As part of an exciting new phase of UK growth, our client is looking for an Account Manager to support and develop a growing portfolio of UK independent retailers, destination stores, museums, farm shops and online accounts.

Role Overview

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of independent retail customers and online/web retailers, building strong relationships and driving sales performance across these channels. This is a customer-facing role suited to someone with solid account management experience who is looking to develop their commercial skills further within a creative and fast-paced consumer brand. Experience within the gift, home, stationery, novelty or related sectors would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of independent retail and online accounts.
  • Build positive, long-term relationships with buyers and key contacts within customer businesses.
  • Identify opportunities to grow distribution, range depth and repeat business within existing accounts.
  • Support product launches, seasonal promotions and range updates across your account base.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate forecasting, smooth order processing and high levels of customer service.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and manage sales orders using internal systems.
  • Represent the business at UK trade shows, customer meetings and industry events as required.
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback and competitor activity within the independent and online retail space.
  • Support wider sales team initiatives and contribute ideas to help drive overall UK growth.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a Sales Executive, Account Manager or Senior Sales Support role, ideally within retail or wholesale.
  • Background in the gift, home, stationery or related consumer product sector preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Confident communicator with good relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded, with an interest in developing sales opportunities and growing accounts.
  • Comfortable using Excel and office applications for reporting and basic analysis.
  • Proactive, positive and collaborative, with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Customer-focused, resilient and adaptable in a fast-moving environment.
