We are working with an established, design-led homewares brand that supplies their stylish & contemporary ranges to thousands of leading retailers worldwide. They are looking for an International trade sales executive with fluent French (any other European language is a plus, but not essential!) to join their growing team.
Reporting to the International Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales of their French and other countries, maintaining strong relationships with existing trade customers, while actively seeking out new business opportunities and areas for growth. You will have proven wholesale B2B account management experience within the consumer products industry and bring a genuine passion for product.
Key duties as Trade Sales Executive will include:
- Nurturing and growing international customers, developing strong relationships across the customer base, and maximising sales opportunities across all categories.
- Following up on all sales leads accurately, representing the brand and delivering excellent customer service.
- Liaising with potential and existing customers, presenting the range and building brand awareness, working with buyers on range selection to maximise sales.
- Representing the company at international trade shows and events.
- Seeking out new customers, markets and territories, converting these into long‑term, profitable partners.
- Compiling sales and profit forecasts with the account managers and ensuring these are maintained and communicated effectively.
- Regular reporting on sales data to the International Sales Manager.
- Providing support to the Manager with accounts when needed.
- Monitoring competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities for category expansion or product development.
- Collaborating closely with other teams within the company to ensure smooth order flow and best‑in‑class customer experience.
Skills & experience needed:
- 2+ years’ experience within international sales for a consumer products company – homewares, stationery or gifting preferred but not essential.
- Fluent French; conversational in any other European language highly beneficial.
- An excellent relationship builder who can demonstrate delivering solid revenue growth.
- Experience with industry trade shows would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, able to interpret sales data and spot trends.
- First‑class communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills and attention to detail.
- A personable team player with a positive, flexible approach.
- Proficient in CRM and Microsoft Office; Excel skills particularly valuable.
