Job Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain the Council's Housing Applications, including the NEC Integrated Housing Management System.
- Manage incidents, problems, changes, and releases to ensure system availability and performance.
- Monitor application performance and resolve technical issues within agreed service levels.
- Coordinate system testing, upgrades, deployments, and enhancements.
- Maintain data integrity, governance, and compliance with data protection requirements.
- Produce and maintain system documentation, procedures, and support materials.
- Support business change initiatives and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Deliver user support, training, and knowledge transfer where required.
- Maintain business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery arrangements.
- Liaise with Housing Services, Digital teams, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
- Provide technical advice, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure effective operational support and continuous improvement of Housing systems.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience supporting NEC Housing applications or similar housing management systems.
- Strong background in ICT, Digital Services, or Technology Operations.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM), including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.
- Experience managing suppliers, vendors, and third-party support providers.
- Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, business change, and service improvement.
- Knowledge of data governance, information management, and data protection.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Degree, NVQ Level 6, or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with the NEC Integrated Housing Management System.
- Local Government, Housing, or Public Sector experience.
- Knowledge of Housing Management processes and legislation.
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
- PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or other project management qualification.
- Experience with cloud-based or SaaS applications.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. BCS).
