Senior Building Surveyor
Location: High Street, PO12 1EB
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6+ Months 37 hours per week
Working Hours: Mon β Fri, 09:00 β 17:00
Pay Rate: Β£ 31.30 Per Hour
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed building surveys and inspections across council properties.
- Prepare accurate reports, including recommendations for maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
- Provide expert advice on building regulations, compliance, and health and safety standards.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, coordinating contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and complies with council policies.
- Support strategic planning for building maintenance and refurbishment programmes.
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience as a building surveyor or in a similar surveying/engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- UK eligibility to work, with verified documentation.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
