Job Opportunity: Property Data Validation Officer(Temporary) Position: Property Data Validation Officer Contract: Temporary, ASAP – 3 Month Contract Possibility of Extension: Yes, based on project/budget Pay Rate: £23.20 per hour (PAYE) Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:45 – 17:00 Location: W8 7NX Job Purpose: This role within the Asset Management Team is to work within a team in the production and communication of a wide variety of property-based asset intelligence data that are necessary for timely, well-informed cost-effective and critical action decisions. These decisions are being relied on by Council officers, internal and external service providers, the Central Government and ultimately by residents. The role assists the Asset Information Manager and the team in liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders and in providing effective technical and administrative solutions that enable efficient maintenance, development, analysis, reporting and automation of the departmental databases and record management systemsMain Duties and Responsibilities: To pro-actively maintain and develop the Council data, systems and business processes as required to deliver effective asset management of the Social Housing stock and related assets. To design, write and run reports, data modelling and data extracts from Asset Information Systems using Power Query (Power BI/ Excel), Structured Query Language (SQL), Server Reporting Services, SQL Query, or other technologies, established or emerging, as appropriate. To assist in maintaining functions that facilitate the gathering, manipulation, interfacing, analysis, automation and sharing of data including the production of reports, performance indicators, and statistical data to residents, council, and central government. Assist in the production of annual statistical data for statutory returns ensuring accuracy of data and that all relevant data can be validated for audit purposes. Assist in the production of data used for stock options appraisal ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality of data across all Asset Information Systems.Qualifications and Experience: Advanced Information Technology skills with the ability to apply these to real-world situations and to learn new systems and processes as and when required. Ability to use Power Query, Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Access, Excel and Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) to an advanced level. Knowledge and experience of retrieving, collating, manipulating, quality assuring and presenting data for analysis and reporting. Ability to read, interpret and follow complex user manuals and manufacturers' directions and instructions. Demonstrate attention to detail in data analysis and reporting to ensure datasets are accurately maintained and data is consistent across different systems if necessary.
