Procurement Lead Location: Glebe Street, ST4 1RN Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 3+ Months Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £ 350.00 per day Job Ref: (phone number removed) Responsibilities Lead the procurement processes within the ERP system to ensure effective and efficient sourcing and purchasing activities. Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance on best practices. Manage and maintain the contract register databases, ensuring compliance with local government procurement regulations. Utilize SAP Ariba and S4Hana to streamline procurement operations and enhance data accuracy. Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and other relevant regulatory requirements. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the council\’s objectives and budgetary constraints. Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on procurement data analysis. Person Specification Demonstrated ability to track down, assimilate, and reconcile complex data effectively. Proven experience working in high-pressure environments with the flexibility to meet changing business needs. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and associated analytical tools. In-depth knowledge of local government procurement systems and processes. Familiarity with contract register databases, particularly within regulated environments. Experience in using SAP Ariba and S4Hana is essential.
