Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver financial audit assignments in line with audit plans
- Evaluate financial controls, risk management, and governance arrangements
- Prepare clear and accurate audit reports with practical recommendations
- Provide professional advice to managers on financial controls and compliance
- Support the development of audit plans and audit methodologies
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to agree audit findings and actions
- Ensure audit work complies with professional standards and council policies

- Proven experience in financial auditing, preferably within the public sector
- Strong understanding of financial controls, risk, and governance frameworks
