Job Responsibilities

  • Provide reliable, efficient, and flexible administrative support within payroll or pensions services.
  • Carry out a full range of payroll‑related processes in line with established procedures.
  • Respond to customer queries, offering accurate information and guidance on payroll matters.
  • Maintain and update records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Produce correspondence and manage day‑to‑day administrative tasks within the team.
  • Deliver senior‑level administrative support to assist in the effective functioning of the payroll service.
  • Support the Team Leader in managing workloads and prioritising tasks within the team.
  • Handle complex, technical, and potentially contentious payroll issues with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Monitor and check the quality of work completed by team members to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and service delivery.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in key payroll service areas over time.

Person Specification

  • Experience working in a payroll or pensions administration environment.
  • Proven experience handling administrative processes in a structured service setting.
  • Experience dealing with customer queries and providing guidance.
