Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation on childcare matters to the Newcastle Town Council.
- Handle cases related to child protection, adoption, fostering, and other related areas.
- Collaborate with social services, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the welfare of children.
- Prepare and present cases in court, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Draft and review legal documents, including care orders and agreements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childcare law and practices.
- Ensure all legal processes adhere to statutory requirements and best practices.
Person Specifications:
Must Have:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with a valid practicing certificate.
