Description:
To provide financial advice and guidance for a range of services across the council supporting key financial processes to enable the sound financial management of the organisation. This will require the post-holder to use professional skills and knowledge to proactively identify, investigate, analyse, and evaluate issues and/or solutions within the financial management framework.
To ensure that processes and procedures are adhered to with respect to the financial administration of the organisation's affairs. This will include identifying opportunities to improve these processes and procedures on an ongoing basis.
Contribute to the development of a strong financial awareness culture across the organisation and lead the budget setting and budget monitoring processes.
To lead and manage a small team delivering expert financial services to budget holders and staff within East Herts Council.
