Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop systems, software, and hardware.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of IT services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance their understanding of IT systems.
Person Specifications:
Must Have:
- Proven experience in a desktop support or similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem‐solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK and all necessary documentation to verify this.
- Two written employment references, including one from the most recent employer covering at least six months.
- Fit for work/medical clearances and criminal convictions declaration.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in a public sector or council environment.
- Familiarity with NEPO processes and compliance requirements.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar.
