Location: 36 Orchard Street, Lincoln, LN11XX

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 12+ Weeks (3+ Months)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Pay Rate: PAYE: £12.76 Per hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for concerns relating to children's safety and wellbeing.
  • Handle telephone calls from the public, police, healthcare professionals, teachers, and partner agencies.
  • Gather accurate and detailed information by asking appropriate questions.
  • Record information clearly and accurately on internal systems.
  • Ensure all case details are factual, complete, and submitted to Children's Social Care.
  • Provide professional, empathetic, and confidential customer service.
  • Manage sensitive and potentially distressing calls calmly and professionally.
  • Use Microsoft Office and internal databases to maintain accurate records.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and organisational policies at all times.

Person Specification:

  • Previous customer service or call handling experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening, questioning, and information-gathering skills.
  • Ability to type accurately while speaking on the phone.
  • Good attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and computer systems.
  • Able to remain calm, resilient, and professional in sensitive situations.
  • Empathetic, patient, and compassionate approach.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
