Children’s Advanced Practitioner

Location: Holmeleigh, Foundry Street, Horncastle, LN96AQ

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6+ months

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00 (Hybrid)

Pay Rate: £29.51 Per Hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessments, planning, and support for children at Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care.
  • Respond to referrals from the front door as part of a duty rota system (one week in three on duty).
  • Participate in public and private law proceedings related to children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and families to provide timely and effective interventions.
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports, and documentation in line with Council policies.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, case reviews, and professional development sessions.
  • Provide support to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for children and families.

Person Specification

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Qualified and experienced Social Worker with relevant experience in child and family services.
  • Experience in assessing and planning support for children at CIN, CP, and Children in Care.
  • Knowledge of public and private law proceedings and ability to participate effectively.
  • Ability to work on a duty rota system and manage workload under pressure.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.
  • Ability to work on-site at least two days per week, including during duty weeks.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Experience working in East Lindsey or similar local authority settings.
  • Familiarity with local resources and services for children and families.
  • Previous experience in hybrid working environments.
  • Knowledge of multi-agency working practices and partnership approaches.
