Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological advice, assessment, and support for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, or mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, carers, and other professionals to support children’s development and educational outcomes.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams, offering consultation, supervision, and professional guidance to colleagues.
  • Advise on effective interventions and provision to meet developmental and learning needs.
  • Undertake projects and tasks that improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on service delivery, ensuring standards meet the needs of schools, families, and children.
  • Support training and professional development initiatives for staff, parents, and carers.
  • Maintain professional knowledge, skills, and practice in line with legislation, Council policies, and service guidelines.
  • Promote and ensure safeguarding and welfare of all service users at all times.
