Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Council Tax accounts and other revenue streams.
- Recover debts and maximize collection efficiently.
- Respond to inquiries via letter, phone, in person, and electronically.
- Process applications for discounts and reliefs, considering fraud prevention.
- Handle complaints and suggest improvements for service delivery.
- Submit irrecoverable debts for write-off as per procedures.
- Maintain an accurate database and fulfill audit requirements.
- Engage in outreach work to improve collection.
- Cooperate with external bodies to assist in revenue collection.
- Manage enforcement agents and report on their performance.
- Prepare records, deal with reports, and ensure data protection.
- Stay informed on relevant legislation and technology.
- Mentor and coach junior staff as needed.
- Assist in designing and implementing training programs.
- Contribute to process and procedure reviews.
- Conduct quality checks for accuracy.
