Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Oracle finance systems within the organisation
  • Assist with financial accounting processes, including ledger maintenance
  • Carry out reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial data
  • Support users with Oracle system queries and issue resolution
  • Contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Work closely with finance teams and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processes
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with financial procedures

Person Specification:

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with Oracle financial systems (e.g. Oracle ERP)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Experience in finance or accounting support roles
  • Good Excel skills and confidence handling financial data
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate clearly with finance and non-finance colleagues

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Experience working within a local authority or public sector finance environment
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience supporting system users in a helpdesk or support capacity
